POWER & SERVICE

As Jesus was talking to His disciples, a certain lawyer stood up and asked, "Who is my neighbour?" And Jesus answered by telling them this story: A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who robbed him, stripped him of his clothes, and, wounding him, left him on the road half dead. By chance there came a priest that way, and, as a teacher of religion to men, he should have stopped to help the poor man. Instead of this, he pretended not to see, and passed by on the other side of the road.

Then there came by a Levite, who also, as an official of the church, should have given help. But he merely came and looked on the injured man, and passed on the other side as the priest had done. Afterwards there came by a Samaritan, and, when he caught sight of the wounded Jew, he went over to him and was very sorry for him. Now the Jews hated the Samaritans, and were their enemies, so that it would not have been surprising if he, also, had done as the priest and the Levite did. But, no! Though it was his enemy, he could not pass him by and leave him on the road, perhaps to die. He examined his wounds and bound them up; doing all that he could to soothe them.

Then he lifted him carefully on his own beast, and brought him to the nearest inn, and took care of him through the night. The next day, when the Samaritan departed, he paid the man who kept the inn, and said to him, "Take care of this poor man until he is well, and whatever it may cost for his lodging and food, that I will pay thee when I come again." "Which of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among thieves?" The lawyer answered, "He that showed mercy unto him." Then said Jesus, "Go, and do thou likewise." Three men went past that road on that fateful day. The Levi, The Rabbi and the stranger the “good Samaritan”. The Rabbi was a man well tutored in Jewish laws, principles and opinions, the Levite one also well tutored but not ascended to the level of the rabbi. Either had a fair knowledge of the religion they spoke about and an understanding of the laws guiding their belief but without an ability to help the wounded or hurt or bring that message which they stood day in day out in the temple to preach to the commoner on the street. That commoner was however the reason for the message so how come in the time the answer to their needs arrived they seemed helpless or oblivious to the presence before them? The Good Samaritan a commoner, like the jew lying helpless on the road. Yet with the answer to the dying mans need and the patience and ability to reach out and meet those needs. How come it was not the rabbi, Levi but the Samaritan? A generation clearly not believed in and not seen to be of relevance in the point of rescue to the society. The Rabbi – (By chance there came a priest that way, and, as a teacher of religion to men, he should have stopped to help the poor man. Instead of this, he pretended not to see, and passed by on the other side of the road.) Stood in the temple each day, receiving offering sacrifices, receiving gifts and tithes and vows and pledges from Gods people. The weak, strong, helpless, widow, orphan, hurting, dying, rich, poor came and gave. Broken they came, helpless they came, wounded they came but all the same they came. The Levi – (Then there came by a Levite, who also, as an official of the church, should have given help. But he merely came and looked on the injured man, and passed on the other side as the priest had done.) Forever singing praises to God in the temple, benefited from the offerings of the people at the temple. All they needed do was worship God and forever sing his praises and they got a fair share of the offerings. The Samaritan man – (Afterwards there came by a Samaritan, and, when he caught sight of the wounded Jew, he went over to him and was very sorry for him.) A commoner, a man that did not have the qualification to present gifts to God (but was it about the gift?), he did not at the time have access to the benefits accrued with the temple dwellers. Yet a man that had felt what it meant to be in need, a man that had been broke, had been robbed and had at some points wondered where he would lay hands on funds for the next gifts and even his offerings at the temple. The Jew – (Now the Jews hated the Samaritans, and were their enemies,) the man that was selective, very controversial, very personal because of what his society had thrown at him. His naira failed, his wealth decreased, wall all around, no peace. No accommodation, no family, no friends, no job, no money in his pockets, hard on drugs, prostitution and crime, had to lie a couple of times to make sure ends met. But this man was practically RELIGIOUS but had NO RELATIONSHIP with the God in whom he so much appeared to be committed yet not connected to. WHY NOT READ? The pulpit today delivers so many messages on the “Rule your world drive” they talk leadership, commitment, legacy, continuity, spirituality, followership, breaking ancestral covenants……we are so committed to the theory and our practical sessions about in the Church HOD, ushering units and church administrative positions where we struggle so hard to get those leadership positions which makes us called so many large titles. JESUS – he came without a title and left without an award. Yet during his very existence on earth, commandeered the wealth of his society and time. He called up the disciple to get money from the belly of the fish to pay to cease his taxes. He rented peters boat and paid him off with a ship full and sinking of fish “a whole years wages in one day”. He mixed clay and spit and pasted as a drug to heal blindness. He walked on water as an example for the man he asked to walk up to him. The man that gave good wine for the wedding in canal in Galilee, and so many countless miracles that gave Him dominion offer his time. Men waited for his arrival, his opinion did not just count but was the final say. He had a strong hold on his economy, territory and his industry (ministry). CHRISTIANS – I dare to ask what version of the bible we read, what level of understanding we have, and what strength we need. How come the illuminati are said to be running the world order? How come they have a very strong say to the leadership systems in the world? How come Boko Haram is operating with so much confidence and fearlessness? HAS THE CHURCH LOST ITS GLORY TO THE WORLD? How come the priests have all the speeches but the Samaritans have the people. They would rather believe the promises of a local government council head than believe Gods word? How come we keep making so much noise in church about how bad the government is, how good it could be and all the criticism that can fill the earth but have no solutions to proffer? Where was Christianity associated with mediocrity? What connection has humility with poverty? Why do we sit in church and make demands on the world? We preach so many morals that immorality becomes a theme. For heavens sake, what is happening to the church? How come we preach so many empowerment messages and d not empower even the lady sitting next to us on the pew with an offering? Did you just tell me God bless you when I told you I needed food to eat? Did you tell me speak to pastor about your accommodation when my pastor is trusting God for the church to pay his rents? Did you call me a prostitute when I came out of that hotel just because you do not know I do not have accommodation and no one is willing to take me in? And this man comes around and gives me a bed to lie on and I pay my bills with all I have? Did you condemn what I wore as faded when you wore a TM Lewis shirt… did you do this, this and this… DO NOT READ!!!! – The illuminati order - The Leaders are extremely wealthy people, known mostly as international bankers, who finance goals and interact with the leaders of many countries. Their elite members include well known people as well as some not so well known. Illuminati founder, Adam Weishaupt's mission was to establish a New World Order (NWO), which would include the abolishment of all monarchical governments and religions. The use of a One World Government would allow those with the mental abilities (The Illuminati) to govern the world and prevent all future wars. CHRISTIANITY - Jesus made statements throughout the Gospel books of the New Testament, supporting civil government. He told tax collectors for the Roman government that they should not get out of the business. But, rather, just be fair in their assessments and collections. He told those involved in military service--Roman Centurions--that they should not use their position of authority and power as a way of extorting favors from those under their rule. Both these positions--tax collectors and military personnel--are a legitimate occupation for the running of any civil government I think it interesting that the Bible never slanders a Roman Centurion. As a matter of fact, every Centurion in the Bible is spoken about in a favorable way, even the one who acknowledged the Son of God on the Cross. Even Jesus said in regards to the Centurion of Matthew chapter eight that He had never seen a greater faith in anyone in Israel. The Centurion was a man under authority; therefore, he understood how authority worked. He told Jesus to just give the order, the command, and his servant would be healed. He, the Centurion, was used to receiving orders and giving them to young soldiers who would die in battle because of the orders. His faith in Jesus caused Him to "marvel." Further more; Jesus did not rebuke Peter for carrying a sword that he used to strike the high priest's servant in the Garden. He rebuked Peter for using the sword unlawfully. He said, "All those who take up the sword [unlawfully] shall perish by the sword [lawfully]" (Matthew 26:52). A man can not take action against his enemies without lawful cause. The laws of the state determine the rules of engagement. And the law of the state is ordained or sanctioned by God (Romans 13). Men who fill positions of civil government may be evil, but the civil government as a whole is not evil but sanctioned by God Almighty to keep and maintain lawful order in society. HOW COME THE CHURCH IS NOW TAKING ORDERS FROM THE WORLD AND NOT THE WORLD FROM THE CHURCH?
  1. We are selfish, self centered and possessive. We would rather eat and die eating than distribute our wealth to progress each other. The people with the finance do not have the stage, the people who have what to say are not given the stage. Why? I would rather eat my finance and die in obscurity than invest in you and put you on the stage. The opposite came to play in Obamas election…that is why he is the president from an illuminati order!
  2. Big talk, small show. We take too much time in our church classrooms and eventually our entire life there. We never have the time to live the life which we are so much tutored on. Why? Our grandmasters want us to live their dreams, say amen like them, preach like them, pray like them, talk and dress like them. We never have the time to be us, so we live and die being nobody.
  3. Righteousness – Poverty, hey these two words have no near meanings or definitions. Being poor does not make you a heavenly candidate. Neither does being rich guarantee your rapture. There must be a balance; if we are taking this message then it must heal the MESS of this AGE. This age needs jobs after graduation, what is wrong with a Christian becoming a factory owner, engineer, accountant, banker, medical doctor and not just another member of the profession but one with a strong tie to the rule of his industry. How come fellowship presidents do not have the first class in the university? How come the pastor, tongue speaking and God fearing is not the director of a bank? How come the young chorister is not the pilot on that aircraft? How come the usher is not the rich business man? How come the pastor’s wife is not having a say in the educational sector? How come the pastor is not an elder statesman? How come the Elder is not a candidate for the next gubernatorial elections? Who said the protocol officer could not vie for presidency? Who declared the Choir mistress could not own oil wells? Who defines who we become? JESUS CHRIST or THE WORLD.
  4. PSYCHE - The mind or self as a functional entity. The Rabbi needs to understand that there is much more of God on his streets than there is in the temple and to bring Jesus to the temple he must understand not just his job description but also the vision and mission statement of his employer (JESUS) and his country heaven that he is an ambassador of to the earth. The Levi – that Jesus came so the veil of the temple would be shed to give us access to our rights and not leave us in bondage to our very selves. That we are meant to minister to the world as we are sent from God. What would be use of getting a messenger if your intentions were to keep the message to yourself? The Jew – the reason for our existence as Christian’s v1 Then I returned to Jerusalem 14 years later with Barnabas. Titus came with me too. V2 God showed me that I should go there. So I went. I had a private meeting with the people who seemed to be leaders. I explained to them the *good news about Jesus that I *preach to the *Gentiles. I did not want my past work or my present work to be a failure. V3 Titus, who had come with me, was a *Greek man. But the *church leaders did not insist that they wanted to *circumcise him. V4 We needed to discuss this matter because of some men who pretended to be Christians. But they were not Christians. They had come into our group secretly. They were watching the freedom that Jesus Christ gives to us. Really, they wanted to control us like slaves. V5 We did not allow them to persuade us, not even for a moment. Instead, we wanted to protect the true *good news for your benefit. There has to be a restructuring and realisation of the systems, there must be a complete understanding of the gospel carried from the pulpit to the pew. Not just an understanding but a practicability of the word. We are no longer the written word we are the living word, the word turned flesh. Why then do we behave as a valley of dry bones
  5. UNDERSTANDING – ISIAIH 5: 13 "My people will go into exile because they don't understand what I'm doing. Honored men will starve, and common people will be parched with thirst." WHAT DO WE DO TO GET AND KEEP NOT JUST A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT RETAIN THE POWER THAT IS ABOUNDING IN IT???
